I never actually understood how do you go up level anyway? Is it based on your uploads? And one more thing maybe some content is hidden now but i still remember when wc just went up again, it had a label below saying over few thousand pics were deleted i don't think they were meaning hiding them.

Hello, I'm the person who draw this.
As far as I know what happened, is that some of my works were re-posted to WildCritters from PIXIV, and some of them were hidden in few minutes. (anyone can't see its including WildCritters's member).

Few days later, one of my friend who is WildCritters member (I'm not member) email to the person who re-posted my works to WildCritters. He mentioned that "Spike believes that artist is looking at this website and would delete their work on their pixiv if it's here."
My friend reply the email told him I am happy to see my works been posted on WildCritters, then my works are not hidden anymore.
For other Pixiv artist, I think the only way to find their works is to go to their Pixiv page.

You can get an upgrade via a mixture of contributions and luck. It helps to market yourself. Don't just do translations and hope someone notices. Mention on the forum that 'you will be translating so-und-so.' A strong forum presence alone might even be enough, just as a shitton of uploads could be enough, but a mixture of the two would probably be best.

The half-empty pages are caused by hidden files. When something is deleted, the page is shifted left. When pages are empty, that means that the page is really full but you simply can't see the dozen images that are floating around.
