I've already been to the Comic Market and checked out the Kemono circles there, and Kemonocon 2nd was a lot of fun... any one else living in Japan right now?

yea, it's been pretty cool living here, but I'm still trying to find more events to check out. I've already seen a lot of Japan, but I'm not sure what else to check out besides the Comic Market and Tokyo Gameshow (I've already seen enough cars, and temples in Japan and stuff, ninja city, etc.)

I'm currently in japan, but only got here recently; if you could suggest some stuff, that would be awesome.

I envy those who are lucky enough to live in japan and can buy doujins and awesome hard to find stuff without having to pay prohibitive prices import fees.

If you like kemono and live in japan, i suggest you to:
-Browse kemono circles of authors, which organized a few times conventions and give information about several obscure kemono artists (well, its not like kemono artists aren't obscure already, compared to the other bajillion japanese hentai artists out there. I guess the most known are Dr Comet, Aku Tojyo, and Trump from the circle Team Shuffle).

-If you see a doujin/manga which interests you, BUY IT (unless the price is insane). The amount of kemono doujins/mangas out there is actually very small in comparison of other categories eromangas. And therefore, the stock of kemono doujins is very limited and reprints are rare. So if you get the chance of getting a cool doujin, don't let it get away.
Lets face, Kemono doujins are a niche in the niche of eromanga. And so they're very rare, this applies TWICE (or even more times) to heterosexual kemono doujins/mangas (It seems most part of japanese kemono artists prefers steroid-addict or shota-like males instead of females).

-If you buy kemono doujins, we would really appreciate if you could scan them.
And if you know japanese (which is very likely if you're living there), you could translate some of the available doujin scans you like. That would be awesome, since kemono doujins gets so little love from free translators.

I used to live there, I really want to move back with the way things are in the states though.

> Not enough hetero

That is just too bad for you. I am quite happy with the delicious ratio of ghey:straight. When I go to Japan next May, I look forward to purchasing much faggotry.

I would enjoy seeing greater selection in hetero furry manga if for nothing else than to have variety, since you cannot please everyone. Though, it is hard to say if gay kemono is popular as an extreme branch of the well known and rather extensive market of catgirls.

With Comiket coming in August, there should hopefully be some new works.
