If anyone wants a personalized trip code, read here

Firstly though, the people using Japanese names.

It seems this place is already becoming used by people, who want to use Japanese characters in their name. Which is totally fine, but It's going to become a problem for me to know who is who because i don't differentiate between Japanese characters on the spot, like i do with English.

So if you are using Japanese I would like it if you could please have a personal trip code for me and ponoiro's convenience.

But don't worry, even if you have an English name, you can have a personal trip code as well, i totally understand having your own identify that isn't random letters and numbers.

All you need to do is email me (emeekemono@gmail.com) the password you are using now and the trip code you wish to have. If you want, start using a totally new fresh password for this site so you do not worry if I'm going to hack you etc (I never would, don't worry)

Also, please don't ask for your trip to be Japanese letters... Also be patient.

Also changed my trip code to "KemonoAdmin" to avoid confusion.

Sounds good. It'll save me hours in tripcode explorer trying to find the combination for "Daiki" or "Kaitou" :v

I'm so glad I expanded my horizons beyond Fchan, or I would've never discovered the many other awesome furry sites out there, like WildCritters, E621, Firpiled, and this here awesome place. Although after being exposed to the aforementioned Danbooru-esque image boards, I feel like the old Futaba style is a bit... outdated. Would Kemonono ever consider changing formats? You'd have search features based on image tags, and you'd have in-browser text overlays which would be great for on-the-spot translation of manga. I hope I'm not upsetting anyone with this suggestion.

Well...when this board was first established, e621 and WC covered pretty much all the content that would be posted here save for some minor gaps and some doujin content. Now that WC is dead (at least for now) it seems like there could be some argument made for switching this site over to a danbooru style site. This board moves pretty slowly and mostly serves as an archival service, safe from the whims of lulz.net...not to demean the absolutely fantastic effort put into translation and drawing in the oekaki. Having a tag search-able archival service is surely better than the thread based imageboard solution.

I personally prefer imageboards however, but that is probably just because of the way I consume content. I never go in search of a particular subject...I like to be bombarded with fresh content.

I have actually been putting in some thought into developing something fresh for this site. Sort of a cross between the danbooru and futaba style sites. Image tagging while keeping threaded discussions. Ychan has tried to do something like that, but their layout seems really messy to me. I also want to implement something to compliment the doujin and comic content. If I do end up making something, its a while off.

Idk...thats my pile of thoughts on the issue.

Hmm... I checked out YChan, and while the system they've got seems pretty interesting, they seem to have the same attitudes as Fchan that made that place stop being fun. The whole hate on cub stuff to me, seemed like just an excuse for one furry to feel morally superior to another, but used to be nobody gave a damn or they just didn't fight about it as much as now. (What's comical to me is how they say any character that is aesthetically "under-age looking" is cub, yet bread-n-butter characters like Tails and Klonoa are exempt from the "law" they're so desperate to comply with.)

I really sucks that Wildcritters is gone. It was one of my faves, a step above e621 on my "like" scale because it was mostly non-western furry stuff, everyone there was pretty nice including the mods and nobody really ever fought over stuff there.
